Inside Access: A fashion insider's guide to the best of Milan

As Milan Fashion Week swings into action, we ask fashion influencer and Milanese local Enrica Albani what not to miss in the city.

The first thing you should do on arrival in the city is...

Definitely make a quick stop in the Piazza Duomo!

For coffee I always go to...

I actually don’t like coffee, but I never say no to a cup of tea — always at Marchesi 1824.

My favourite brunch spot is...

Bar Bulgari. It’s one of the most exclusive brunches in the city.

The best casual lunch locations are...

Lùbar. The location in really amazing as you’re surrounded by green and you can order a very delicious avocado and salmon toast.

Lubra

For cocktails I love...

Roof top bar Terrazza Martini. It’s the perfect place to enjoy an exclusive view looking down onto Piazza Duomo.

If you’re looking for a unique wine bar, I’d recommend...

N’ombre de vin. Where you can of course taste a wide variety of different wines from all over Italy and beyond.

I love going for dinner at...

Al Garghet. Maxi “Cotoletta” is served, always for me with French fries! The place is lovely, really intimate and perfect for couples.

To relax in the city I head to...

Grand SPA at the Palazzo Parigi Hotel; a paradise where you can purify the body and free the mind.

My favourite independent shops are...

Definitely the vintage market in Via Brera — you need to head there on the third Sunday of the month.

For a slice of culture, you can’t beat...

Fondazione Prada — it’s a complex of museum buildings, consisting of a contemporary art gallery that hosts temporary exhibitions so there’s always something to see.

The best places to visit in the city are…

Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, which is one of the most important streets in the centre of Milan. It connects Piazza del Duomo to Piazza San Babila. All the big international brands are there, it's one of the main shopping areas in the city.

Corso Vittorio Emanuele IIWhat are your packing essentials?

Hmm… that’s not an easy question to answer! If I could, I would take my full wardrobe! But if I have to choose... always a pair of blue jeans, a black blazer and black boots but never without a colourful bag and beanie! Of course I always carry with me my favourite sneakers too as they’re perfect for walking a lot, exploring the city and doing some shopping. I also always pack my Victoria Secret beauty bag and GHD curling irons!

Enrica travels with the Clifton suitcases in Navy.
